Letter-Writing Today: Not a Lost Art

Laura’s presentation will include an introduction with slides about her work and projects in Portland, including Street Books.  We will look at some images related to letter-writing, and Laura will lead a letter-writing activity. She will provide a handout with resources, a bibliography, and local opportunities to utilize the postal mail.  We’ll finish with a Q&A.

Laura Moulton is a writer and teacher in Portland. Her work has taken her into public schools, prisons, shelters and onto the streets. She is an adjunct professor at Lewis & Clark College and the founder of Street Books, a bicycle powered mobile library serving people who live outside and at the margins.
