Avinash Kharat
I’m Avinash Kharat, a professional calligrapher, monogram designer, and educator based in India. With a background in mechanical engineering and experience as a professor, I transitioned to calligraphy full-time out of deep personal passion. I specialize in Copperplate, Spencerian, and Cursive Gothic scripts, as well as bespoke monogram design and luxury engraving. My work blends traditional penmanship with contemporary aesthetics, and I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with brands like Google, Ethos, and CGH. I regularly conduct workshops both online and in-person, mentoring students to refine their skills and explore the artistic and professional sides of calligraphy. As a member of Calligraphy Masters, I’m committed to upholding the integrity of fine penmanship while contributing to its evolution through education and artistic practice.
