Outreach
Portland Society for Calligraphy volunteers share their talents at a variety of events in the community.Art in the Pearl
Volunteering at Art in the Pearl in Portland’s north park blocks is a highlight for many PSC members. We set up a booth with two tables, where 3-4 calligraphers offer to write visitors’ names in the script of their choice. It’s a great opportunity to share our love of calligraphy with people of all ages. In 2022, we wrote names for over 1300 people!
Gathering of the Guilds
The annual Gathering of the Guilds at the convention center is another event where 3-4 PSC calligraphers offer to write visitors’ names in the script of their choice. We love sharing our craft with visitors.
