Monthly Member Meetings
Portland Society of Calligraphy member meetings are an opportunity to connect with other calligraphers, find out what is going on at PSC through announcements and committee reports, and learn from a program presentation.
Member Meeting Overview:
- Monthly member meetings are open to the public
- Held every 2nd Monday of each month, September – June
- Recently most of our monthly meetings have been on Zoom. We are exploring the possiblity of having some in-person monthly meetings as well
- Zoom meetings are recorded
- Meetings typically start with announcements, and then a 45-minute presentation
- Recordings of past meetings are available to members on the Members Only page

Highlights from 2025 monthly meetings
In February 2025, our presentation was by Lily Yee-Sloan. She talked about her artist journey and the people and experiences that have shaped her life.
At the March Member Meeting, An Bao gave a lesson that broke down the how-to’s of flourishing in Business Cursive.
For our April presentation, Rebecca Nguyen talked about Food Doods: using food as inspiration for journaling and art.
Annie Cicale joined us in May to share her art finds and works from her travels around Europe, including letter carvings and manuscripts.
